Label every report
Keep the original author, company, date, weather, purpose, access, and requested deliverable. Do not paste several findings into one unattributed summary. If a report is corrected, retain both versions and the reason. A photograph should keep its location and caption from the issuing party.
Align locations
Create common roof-zone and interior-room labels, then map each finding to them. Mark not inspected, inaccessible, not applicable, or not mentioned separately. A conclusion about one addition should not automatically apply to a separated main roof or low-slope section.
Translate rating words
Ask what urgent, poor, repairable, serviceable, or end of life means in that report. Connect the word to observed condition, consequence, recommended action, and timing basis. Separate a safety concern from maintenance priority and a replacement recommendation from a warranty or insurance decision.
Choose the next evidence step
When conclusions differ, ask what additional observation, test, controlled opening, product record, or specialist review could resolve the specific gap. More general inspections may repeat the disagreement. Define who authorizes and restores any opening before work begins.
Put the roof question into words
Have the property type, safe observation, date, and existing records ready. Ask the recipient to identify the company and confirm whether the address and roof concern fit its work.
Raleigh Roofing Comparison Desk is a roofing information and referral publisher, not the roofing contractor. A call may connect you with an independent provider or call service. Confirm the recipient, Raleigh coverage, service fit, credentials, insurance, availability, price, permit responsibility, and contract terms before authorizing work.
